The 2006 Method Champenoise (vintage champagne) was awarded the trophy and gold medal at the 2009 Hunter Valley Boutique Wine Show.

Judged as "an outstanding wine" it was the only wine in its class awarded a gold medal!

Our Method Champenoise is the latest trophy winner of the Stonehurst collection, adding to the trophies for our 2007 Semillon and 2006 Reserve Chardonnay.

Australia's most recognised Wine Judge, James Halliday, rated Stonehurst Wines 5 Stars in the 2009 Australian Wine Companion.

Halliday tasted the Shiraz and Chardonnay, gave both 94 points, 91 for the Chardonnay-Semillon. 'Winestate' gave our 1999 Semillon the top rating for a 1999 Semillon. And our medals in the annual Hunter Valley Boutique Wine Show just add to the testament that our organically grown wines are certainly delivering the great flavours known of Stonehurst.

Challenge yourself on the Stonehurst “Golf Course” – chipping through the vineyards, over the creek and past the deer paddocks. Then relax after your efforts with a long lunch and all inclusive wine!

The course is 9 "holes", with the aim being to place the ball inside a 1m diameter circle. The rules suit both serious and non-golfers alike. If golf is not your thing, bring a book and enjoy a glass of bubbles on the verandah with a cheese platter.

A charity auction will conclude the event, with items including helicopter flights, yacht cruises, and vouchers to local day spas, restaurants and golf courses.

100% of proceeds will go to "Mayumarri" - a wondeful local healing centre for people affected by childhood trauma and abuse.

Your own polished black helicopter will collect you at Cedar Creek, fly over  wonderful bush covered hills, lush valleys and vineyards to a Restaurant of your choice (try Molines Bistro high up on the top of Mt View!) . Once you are ready to return, simply ring Simon and you will be picked up, taken for a 15 minute scenic flight over the Hunter before returning to Stonehurst Cedar Creek! 

The fixed rate would be $450.00 for the R44 helicopter and pilot which includes all transfers, pickups and scenic flight, the Robinson R44s can carry 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 young children and if there is larger groups we can use 2 Robinson R44s or a larger helicopter ( please contact Simon for pricing on larger helicopters).
